Volunteers are the life-blood of any non-profit organization, allowing the organization to fulfill its mission. The Wisconsin Chapter of HIMSS is no exception!
Volunteer Opportunities
Wisconsin HIMSS Board is an all volunteer board and we want you! You can volunteer to work with the HIMSS board on a monthly basis as a committee member, or volunteer to work on a particular event during the year, it’s up to you and your schedule. We have opportunities that allow you to be flexible with your time commitment, as well as opportunities for those interested in more involvement and greater time commitments.
Bring your expertise in HIT and join us. Currentl,y we have the following openings in our Committees.
Communications Committee – (Time commitment 4-8 hours per month) work to create and validate content for publishing to our website and work withthe webmaster for publishing. Work to create a quarterly newsletter and able to send emails to our members list with content provided by the respective committee.
Educational and Social Events – We host several chapter events all over the state at various times throughout the year. Most of these are educational in nature (networking events/speakers/forums/etc…). However, we also host an occasional social gathering. All of these events require several different types of volunteers to ensure planning, communication, and execution all go smoothly. Time commitment varies depending on the type of event. Future City Event – Our chapter is also very active in the Future City competition, which encourages STEM-based brainstorming, critical thinking, and design amongst our state’s youth. Watch for more Details.
Chapter Business
Website Management – We’re currently looking for individuals with experience with web content management systems. Our volunteers help to keep the website up to date and fresh with the latest information about our chapter.
Content Writers – Assistance in writing/editing chapter articles for our newsletters, LinkedIn, etc…
Facebook Moderator – Assist in creating and managing a chapter Facebook page.
